Ikon Science Launches the Next Version of RokDoc and iPoint, Focusing on Performance

SURBITON, LONDON—March 15, 2021 – Ikon Science, a global provider of geopredictive and knowledge management solutions designed to optimize subsurface discovery, today announced the release of RokDoc and iPoint Version 2021.2.

“Today we launch version 2021.2 of RokDoc and iPoint and we have made exciting improvements to both performance and functionality” said Nick Huntbatch, Product Manager for QI applications, Ikon Science. “For example, we are ensuring that the heavy-lifting functions in RokDoc, such as those for seismic data conditioning, can leverage all available computing power and we have updated our full waveform synthetic modelling function to maximize stability and performance”.

For RokDoc, this new release includes better performance for the Structurally Oriented Filtering function on export, allowing the use of multi-processes, decreased project opening times and a better performing full waveform synthetic function.

Other notable enhancements include:

• A spectral decomposition function has been added to the Reservoir Characterization module.
• An angle-dependent mute for pre-stack offset gathers.
• The ability to apply arithmetic operations to pre-stack seismic data.
• An update to the 3D Bayesian classification tool to allow for prior probabilities per zone.
• The extraction of seismic inversion match statistics at the well per zone.

For iPoint, this new release includes a significant focus on improving stability and performance as well as new seismic horizon loading to complement and expand the recent addition of seismic data handling.

This release will also feature:

• Schema information is now visible from the front end to better define and align iPoint – RokDoc compatibility.
• Improvements to DLIS multi-dimensional loader.
• GQL connection capabilities improved for iPointWeb.
