Ikon Science’s Chairman Emeritus to Advance Sustainable Geoscience in Collaboration with Oxford University
OXFORD, UK (June 23, 2021) – Martyn Millwood Hargrave, Chairman Emeritus and founder of Ikon Science, a global provider of geoprediction and knowledge management software and services, has joined Oxford University as a visiting professor in Earth Sciences. In this role, Professor Millwood Hargrave will work to help define and advance future earth science contributions towards carbon and geostorage of energy.

Millwood Hargrave has a successful career in geotechnology and entrepreneurship, spanning more than 40 years. He is the founder and former CEO of Ikon Science and continues to serve as the company’s Chairman Emeritus. He has founded earth resource start-ups, led scale-ups, acquired, and divested more than 10 businesses, and fulfilled senior leadership and advisory roles for the UK and international governments and industry bodies.
