Ikon Science Launches the Next Version of RokDoc and iPoint, Focusing on User Experience

SURBITON, LONDON—December 14, 2020 – Ikon Science, a global provider of knowledge management solutions designed to optimize subsurface discovery, today announced the release of RokDoc and iPoint Version 2021.1.

“The latest release of both RokDoc and iPoint continue to make strides in improving the user experience” said Nick Huntbatch, Product Manager for QI applications, Ikon Science. “For example, today’s release of RokDoc has many usability and workflow enhancements, improvements to data visualization and powerful new functionality”.

For RokDoc, this new release introduces a new multi-well, multi-log Normal Compaction Trend (NCT) analysis workflow, new conceptually balanced color bars and the ability to use Markov Transition Matrices (MTMs) in RokDoc Ji-Fi.

Notable enhancements include:

• A new user-friendly NCT analysis workflow.
• MTMs to control allowed facies transitions in RokDoc Ji-Fi.
• Perceptually balanced color bars that avoid the issues associated with traditional color bars including color perception issues associated with ‘Rainbow’.
• Improved handling of 2D seismic data.
• Improvements to RokDoc Search, inversion well QC and the Petrel Interconnector.

For iPoint, this new release includes the ability to display histograms for improved data analysis, and improved customization capabilities for default matrix views.

This release will also feature:

• Ability to add calculations to each cross-plot axis.
• New internal support email and trigger from within iPoint.
• Storage capabilities for seismic horizons in addition to improved refinements to seismic data handling.
• Support for third party authentication systems
