Ikon’s Board of Directors Appoints Denis Saussus as Chief Executive Officer

Executive Team Expanded to Include Key Roles

SURBITON, LONDON– April 14, 2020 – Ikon Science, a global provider of knowledge management solutions designed to optimize subsurface discovery, today announced that Ikon’s Board of Directors has appointed Denis Saussus as Chief Executive Officer and will become a member of the board.

He is a great leader of people, has deep customer relationships, understands the Ikon culture and has been instrumental in guiding the transformation of our product vision,” said Christopher Gaffney, Managing Partner, Great Hill Partners. ”We have absolute confidence that Ikon is in good hands with Denis and the senior management team in place”.

Most recently, Denis provided oversight to Ikon’s worldwide product development team and was instrumental in working with customers to bring the company’s flagship products to market over the years. He was also a member of the iPoint acquisition team and has worked on many of the software development collaborations for the company. He has held a range of positions at the company including Chief Technology Officer, VP Software Development and VP Global Development.

He brings over 19 years of expertise in various aspects of software commercialization – from software research and development to project services, client support, course development, team management, project management and strategic marketing. He has led the successful productization of several state-of-the-art scientific software applications for the oil and gas industry, particularly in the areas of quantitative interpretation and geostatistical reservoir modeling.

Before joining Ikon Sciences, Denis was a Computer Scientist R&D for Jason Geosystems and a Geotechnical Engineer for Geosyntec Consultants. He holds PhD, MSc and BSc degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Former CEO Mark Bashforth has been appointed as Vice Chairman to the Board of Directors.

The company also announced several executive appointments. Antony Towers was named Chief Financial Officer. Antony has over 30 years of experience in Finance and has spent the last 13 years working in different CFO positions. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer for Clearcourse Partnership, a buy and build business operating in the subscription management space. He also served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for FastMarkets Limited/Metal Bulletin, the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Infonic AG and the Chief Financial Officer for Fidessa LatentZero.

Fiona Harte was named as General Counsel. Fiona has combined a 20-year career with multinational business and legal practices such as DAC Beachcroft, Bevan Britten and as partner at Slater & Gordon heading the London Business team. Most recently, she served as Group Legal and Commercial Director for the Bramble Group. With specialisms in technology, procurement, privacy and cybersecurity, she led IBM’s legal implementation of GDPR across their global supply chain. She also worked with the city’s top technology firm, Kemp Little LLP, as Of Counsel in the Commercial Technology/Data Protection and Privacy team assisting with increased client requirement during the GDPR mobilization. Other companies include Equifax, Lloyd’s Banking Group and Public Health England.

Stuart Hunt has been named Vice President of Human Resources. Most recently, he served as Director of Human Resources for EMEA and APAC at KLDiscovery, a company providing technology-enabled services and software to help law firms, corporations, government agencies, and consumers solve complex data challenges. He also held HR management positions at International SOS, Datamonitor and RBS Markets and International Banking.
