A consortium of 20 organization including research institutions, operators, and regulatory authorities from a total of six countries, organized to create REX-CO₂ (ReUsing Existing Wells for CO₂ Capture and Storage) to evaluate the potential for mature, near end-of-life wells and fields to be repurposed for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) operations.
