Michal holds a Ph.D. in Geomechanics from AGH University of Science and Technology, where he focused on stress state determination using well data. He also earned an M.Sc. in Geology from the University of Warsaw, specializing in the geological structure of the Polish Eastern Outer Carpathians.
Michal has extensive experience in geomechanics, geoscience, and reservoir characterization. Currently, he serves as a Senior Geomechanic at Ikon Science in Kuala Lumpur, where he assesses mechanical properties of reservoir rocks, conducts geomechanical modelling, and provides recommendations for wellbore stability and sand production mitigation. Previously, he worked at Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) as a Senior Exploration Geologist, where he led geomechanical modelling, basin screening, and prospect maturation projects across multiple regions, including Poland, Pakistan, UAE, Norway, Oman, and Libya.
His expertise includes reservoir geomechanics, wellbore stability analysis, stress modelling, and fault reactivation assessment. He has contributed to numerous research publications and conference presentations, particularly in pore pressure prediction and geomechanical uncertainty evaluation. He is a member of the ARMA.
