Training Instructors

Andy has been an integral part of the Ikon Science team since 2010. He has a MSc. in Petroleum Geosciences at Royal Holloway, the University of London. His project experience includes analysis of exploration, appraisal and development assets; AVO modelling, seismic to well ties, seismic inversion, petrophysics, and rock physics.

Andy joined Ikon in London as part of the technical support team before transferring to Houston to form the regional technical sales and support team. In 2013 he moved into the Americas QI team, working on projects in both the US and Canada as a Senior Geoscientist. He then worked in Kuala Lumpur as the regional Technical Support Lead.

In mid-2018 Andy transferred back to Houston to head up the Technical Sales efforts in the region. In 2022 he stepped up as the Customer Success Manager for the Americas. He is often onsite at client offices doing project consultation, one-on-one tuition and teaching training classes.

Pari has a BSc in Physics from Angelo State University, and an Msc in Geology from University of Texas Permian Basin, where he worked on characterizing Mass Transport Deposits (MTDs) in the Upper Leonard interval of the Midland Basin using seismic attributes.

He provides technical support for RokDoc, iPoint and Curate software, with emphasis on data solutions and knowledge management.

Nazeera graduated from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, in 2011, with a degree in Geology, before joining Ikon Science the following year as a Support Geoscientist, based in Kuala Lumpur.

She is responsible for providing technical support for exploration and development projects, software training and delivering pre-sales support for potential clients.

Jorge holds a BSc in Geophysical Engineering from Universidad Simon Bolivar in Venezuela, and an MSc in Geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO, USA. There he was part of the Reservoir Characterization Project (RCP) consortium, working on seismic inversion applied to reservoir characterization and geomechanical modeling of the Vaca Muerta unconventional shale in Argentina.

He joined Ikon in 2017 as part of the Customer Success Team, moving into a Senior role over the years. He worked in all aspects of software support, testing, documentation, training, and technical pre-sales for Ikon’s flagship platform, RokDoc. He was the main technical contact for the pore pressure and geomechanics suite of RokDoc in the Americas region for more than 2 years.

Jorge is now part of the Wellbore Services team and has worked closely with clients of various energy companies in North and South America, in 1D/3D PPFG and Geomechanics projects in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, Western Canada, Williston, Appalachian, and Magallanes basins.

Rosalena is a Geophysicist who graduated from University of Pisa with an MSc in Applied and Exploration Geophysics in 2017.

She was selected for internship in Eni Spa to carry her thesis study. Her thesis work focused on Rock Physics modelling for unconsolidated sands and building a novel database of laboratory data for synthetic materials under uniaxial and isotropic stresses, in saturated and dry conditions. Following graduation, she was selected for a 6-months research program with University of Pisa, further exploring Rock Physics modelling for unconsolidated sands. She joined CGG in UK in 2018 as an Imaging Geophysicst, and quickly mastered seismic data processing and Velocity Model Building processes using the most advanced flavours in inversion techniques of FWI and tomography. She is experienced in data from Angola, North Sea, Caspian Sea.

Rosalena joined Ikon Science as Customer Success Geoscientist in 2022, where she takes responsibility for customer technical and operational queries and showcases the software capabilities to clients and potential clients.

Ed has completed pore pressure projects in areas where seismic velocity data are the only available data to large regional studies that include more than 600 wells. Ed’s career with Ikon Science started in 2008 initially based in the Teddington office working on rock physics projects. He transferred to the geopressure team in 2009.

Prior to joining Ikon, Ed was employed by Petris, where he supported the petrophysical software Recall, helping clients to resolve problems and assist with their understanding of the software.

Ed graduated from Southampton University UK with an MGeol (Master of Geology). His final year dissertation involved studying whether climatic indicators (i.e. quartz/feldspar ratio) can be used to correlate Permian sandstone sequences in the North Sea. He also spent part of the final year of his degree on and around on-shore oil rigs in the Western Canadian sedimentary basin.

Andrey graduated from Moscow State University of Oil & Gas with a MSc. in Geophysical methods of Oil & Gas exploration. After graduation, Andrey spent a brief period working in geological database department at Lukoil Overseas. He then joined Schlumberger Western Geco as field QC geophysicist doing quality control and infield processing of seismic data. Andrey worked on number of projects in Western Siberia and Libya with conventional dynamite and vibroseis 3D/2D land crews. In 2008 Andrey joined Moscow branch of Fugro-Jason firstly as member of seismic data processing team and later switched to inversion and reservoir characterisation. At Jason, Andrey has worked a variety of projects, employing the skills of inversion, interpretation, and analysis on various projects across the globe.

Andrey joined Ikon Science in April 2013, and has developed skills in rock physics, reservoir characterisation and 4D analysis.  He has worked on number of projects in North Sea, West Africa and India. He is experienced in managing integrated PP – RP – Processing and Inversion projects.

Joel is a senior geologist with 10 years experience. Since joining Ikon Science in 2012, he has played a diverse role, delivering service projects across the full range of Ikon’s technical offerings, including pore pressure, geomechanics, rock physics and seismic inversion. His primary focus for the last 8 years has been the execution and delivery of pre-drill pore pressure and wellbore stability studies across a wide range of geological settings for use in well planning, exploration, and de-risking.

Joel graduated from Missouri State University with a B.S. in Geology, and holds an M.S. in Geology from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Rashad is a skilled petroleum professional with over a decade of experience leveraging his geomechanical expertise in field development, CCUS, and energy storage. Since joining Ikon Science in 2023, he has delivered impactful geomechanical solutions globally. Rashad holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Geomechanics, an M.Sc. in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Manchester, and a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University.

Prior to Ikon, Rashad made significant contributions at SOCAR, where he led full-field development initiatives, streamlining data-driven workflows and achieving substantial cost savings. Beyond his professional work, Rashad is an avid researcher and speaker, presenting and publishing his findings at international conferences, driving innovation and sharing his expertise to further the advancement of petroleum geomechanics.

Siddiq joined the Ikon Science Customer Care team in the Kuala Lumpur office in 2021. He currently supports the GeoPressure and Geomechanics business and client engagement.

Prior to that, Siddiq was a geomechanics engineer and was involved in various wellbore-drilling geomechanics projects covering different geological settings and operational challenges in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australasia and India.
